Constellations

Here in Kobe, it is really unusual to see a clear night sky. It is almost all the time cloudy, or the brightness of the stars is overpowered by the brightness of the city lights.

It would have been a great experience to do stargazing so learners can appreciate the wonders of space. With stargazing, the learners can also have a chance of noticing the stars at night, looking for bright and big stars, checking for patterns (constellations), and others.

As stargazing is not always possible, Grade 1s decided to bring stargazing in the class by looking at some star patterns or constellations.

They watched videos about different constellations and created some patterns by poking holes at the bottom of the paper cups and projecting the 'constellations' on the wall using flashlight.
